everyone says you can build an app with AI in 5 minutes — so why can't I ever ship mine?
followed one of those "build an app with AI in 5 min" videos and honestly i had something kinda working in under an hour. but since then i've just been stuck fixing bugs and it never ends — is this normal or am i doing something wrong?
Totally normal — honestly that's the whole thing. getting to 80% with AI (the foundation model) genuinely takes an hour now. but ~90% of the actual time to ship goes into the last 20% — squashing bugs, handling edge cases, making it survive real-world use. those "5-minute app" videos never ship for exactly this reason.
